Three highly anticipated flicks, two highly eager industries awaiting their fate at the box office. From Hollywood – A sequel and a Graphic Novel Adaptation and from Bollywood – Yash Raj Films Presents : Aurangzeb.
For starters we have the sequel to the 2010 Critically panned but nevertheless box office success – Grown Ups..Grown Ups 2 has majority of the cast from the original reprising their roles excluding Rob Schneider. In addition to the ensemble cast, Taylor Lautner, Adam Samberg, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Steve Austin join in for the sequel. The trailer has some great scenes of sheer fun, even though the flick is bound to get a thrashing from the critics, I am eagerly awaiting this flick to hit the screens just to watch the The Happy Madison Gang get back together for some mindless fun 😉
Grown Ups 2 releases on 12/07/2013.
Now stepping over to the eastern side to Bollywood, we have YRF’s first flick of the year – Aurangzeb. The flick boosts of quite a star cast which includes the likes of Arjun Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Mallu star Prithviraj. Arjun Kapoor’s 2nd flick in the lead role and under the same banner (YRF) as his first flick. Almost similar to Ranveer Singh’s initial years in the industry. Jackie Shroff returns to the big screen after a long gap. Mallu star Prithviraj is having a hell of a time, this being his 2nd Bollywood flick after last year’s Aiyyaa. Rishi Kapoor as usual will be the star to watch out for in this flick 😉 The trailer seems to tell us the entire story, so its obvious that one can expect twists in the tale. The trailer seems lackluster despite the star power.

Once again back to Hollywood , we have a buddy action flick based on the Graphic Novel of the same name. The flick stars Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg and Paula Patton. The trailer reminded me of the olden times when buddy action comedy flicks were amazing like the Lethal Weapon Series 🙂 After watching the trailer, I have become eager for its arrival on August 2nd. Even if its crap, just for old times sake 😉
